Privacy Policy
Effective 3 August 2026 · Project Knox, Glen Ellyn, Illinois
This policy covers getprojectknox.com and the systems Project Knox uses to run its business. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
What we collect
Only what you type into our contact form, and only when you submit it:
- Your name
- Your business name and the kind of business it is
- Your phone number and email address
- Whatever you tell us about your business and what you would like automated
- Whether you ticked the SMS box and the email box, along with the date, your IP address, your browser, and the exact wording you agreed to
We keep that last item because the burden of proving you agreed to be texted falls on us, and a record that cannot show what you actually saw is not proof.
We do not run advertising trackers, analytics pixels, or third-party cookies on this site.
How we use it
- To reply to your inquiry and give you a quote
- To send you appointments, invoices and service updates if you become a customer
- To send marketing about our services — by text only if you ticked the SMS box, and by email with an unsubscribe link in every message
We do not sell your information. We never have and it is not a thing we plan to start doing.
Text messages
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party, except with the service providers strictly necessary to deliver the messages — and those providers may not use it for their own marketing.
Full details, including how to stop, are in our SMS Terms.
Who else touches your information
Only the services we need to operate:
- Our messaging provider, to deliver text messages
- Google Workspace, to send and receive email
- Cloudflare, which hosts our systems and stores our customer records
None of them receives your mobile information for their own marketing.
How to opt out
- Texts: reply STOP to any message, or email or call us. See SMS Terms.
- Marketing email: click unsubscribe in any message, or email us. This is separate from texts — stopping one does not stop the other.
- Everything: ask us to delete your record and we will.
Phone calls
Illinois requires the consent of all parties to record a private conversation. Project Knox does not record calls without telling you at the start of the call and obtaining your agreement.
If you are an Enterprise customer using the automated answering service: whether that service records or transcribes calls, and how it announces itself, is set out in your written agreement before it is switched on. If your configuration records calls, your callers will be told at the start of the call.
How long we keep it
- Inquiries that do not become customers: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Customer records: for the life of the agreement plus 7 years, because invoices and payments have to be kept for tax purposes.
- Consent and opt-out records: at least 5 years after the consent ends. We keep these longer than we keep anything else on purpose — an opt-out we cannot prove we honored is worse than no record at all.
Your choices
Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email jeffbilbrey@getprojectknox.com or call (331) 291-7400. We will not make you fill in a form to leave.
Children
This is a service sold to businesses. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
